Records show that Ellen Jones (known variously as "Ellen", "Ellin" and
"Elinor") was born in Aberdaron and her father was John Edwards (Marriage
Register). 
  
When she gave birth to Jane in 1855, she gave her home address as "Y Fronydd,
Aberdaron."   Only one "John Edwards" could be found in the Parish of Aberdaron 
on the 1841, 1851 and 1861 Censuses and he lived at "Brynhafodydd" which, I 
suppose, could be abbreviated to "Y Fronydd" - the "B" being mutated to "F" 
after the definite article "Y" and the "o" is in the accentuated syllable in 
both words.   (Lleyn people do speak rather quickly!).
   
I have not, however, been able to prove, so far, that the above is Ellen's 
family.
